Raspbian on the Pi

I found a more minimalist OS load for the Pi, so I tried it with a 512mb SD card. Sadly, that wasn't enough. So I'm trying it with an 8gb SD, to see how much it actually uses. This is using the ordinary Debian method of installing, and it should mean I can load up without putting on the software I'm never going to use (such as the X user interface).

After a minimal install, it needed 600 mb. I'll try to do it with less ...
