Finger splint

The smallest finger on my right hand has been giving me trouble for a few months now. It's not very painful, but it sort of twinges when I use it for anything. I've been wondering what to do about it - I rather think that doctors aren't much use for things so minor. So I used Google, followed by Ebay, and I've bought a finger splint, on the guess that I've sprained or strained something, and it needs some support.
