The EU is toast, soon to be beyond scraping.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-143925273655347334.post-21227255785195088462016-06-08T12:47:43.568+01:002016-06-08T12:47:43.568+01:00The trouble is, we'd pay a price by leaving bu...The trouble is, we'd pay a price by leaving but get nothing in return. Like Switzerland, Norway etc, we'll pay pretty much the same price we're paying now for access to the EU market, but we won't have any say in how it's run.

tanstaafl
drsollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15954188290191548178noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-143925273655347334.post-68668170997109057272016-06-08T11:24:27.370+01:002016-06-08T11:24:27.370+01:00Just maybe it's about to just fizzle out as wh...Just maybe it's about to just fizzle out as when the Berlin Wall came down? The UK's options outside the EU are rather more attractive than the Soviet satellites - who were deeply institutionalised, and wandered around in daze like hostages being released for a long time.

No one can say we have not been warned there may be trouble ahead, but increasingly, it looks like a price worth paying.

Completely collapsing obedience to Brussels actually means nothing (and they know it) there is no EU army (yet, thank God) and life will actually just go on.

And we will all say "what was all the fuss about?"

The EU commission and parliament can be graciously turned into social housing for Merkel's "guests", and the "warders" of the EU let off with a warning not to try it on again.

The only real danger is what Russia may try and do to exploit the disarray. Although if we think it all through and construct an online European Market - fit for 2017 - they can be included this time as well.
William Poel @wpoelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01366851226163517064noreply@blogger.com
